Dr. Umar Aliyu is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur, currently serving as the owner and
Managing Director of Lawal Aliyu Academy in Nigeria. Under his leadership, the Academy provides a comprehensive educational pipeline, ranging from Primary and Secondary schooling to preparing
students for major examinations such as WAEC, NECO and JAMB.
He is a Professor at LIGS University (USA) and Selinus University (Dominica). His extensive background in doctoral guidance includes serving as an Adjunct Thesis Supervisor at Westford University College (UAE), Unicaf University (Cyprus), and the Swiss School of Business and Management (Switzerland). Dr. Aliyu’s track record in mentorship is further bolstered by his previous roles as a Professor at SMC University (Switzerland) and a Mentor at Texila American University (Guyana).
His career also includes collaborations with University of the People, USA; Federal College of Education, Kano, Nigeria; Nagari Hospital, Nigeria; Laluco Nig Ltd, Nigeria; and Union Bank Plc, Nigeria. Beyond the classroom, he served as a strategic advisor to two consecutive Executive Governors of Kaduna State.
He possesses a Diploma in Computer Data Processing, a Higher National Diploma in Finance & Banking, a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance & Banking, a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminology & Security Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, a Master's Degree in Finance & Banking, and a PhD in Management.
He has written over 150 books and publications. He has also been a reviewer or editor for over 100 national and international journals worldwide. Additionally, he is a fellow member of over 20 educational and professional organizations and institutions from different parts of the world.
