Professional Experience & Biography
Dr. Hatem Elshreif is a practitioner-academic with over 25 years of cross-sector experience spanning corporate finance, oilfield services, executive training, and higher education across the MENA and EMEA regions. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in International Finance from ESLSCA Business School (WES-evaluated), an MBA, and a B.Sc. in Commerce — a combination that positions him at the intersection of rigorous scholarship and real-world application.
In 2014, Dr. Elshreif founded and has since led Mediterranean Oilfield Service Company (MOSCO) as Managing Director, overseeing multi-disciplinary operations across the energy sector. This entrepreneurial track record complements his academic portfolio and gives him a distinctive ability to bridge theory and practice — a quality he brings directly into his supervision of doctoral candidates.
As Assistant Professor at LIGS University and Adjunct Faculty at EIMT, Dr. Elshreif teaches a broad portfolio of MBA-level subjects including Managerial Finance, Managerial Economics, International Finance, Research Methodology, Business and Society, and related disciplines. He holds recent professional certifications in Corporate Finance Foundations (CFI) and Financial Modeling (NASBA-accredited), reflecting his commitment to staying current with industry practice.
Dr. Elshreif is an engaged and results-oriented supervisor who expects doctoral candidates to bring intellectual curiosity, professional ambition, and a commitment to producing work with real-world relevance. He is particularly interested in supervising candidates whose research sits at the intersection of finance, energy economics, emerging markets, or strategic management — and who are prepared to translate scholarship into actionable insights.
Motto: Twenty-five years in the field, now dedicated to shaping those who will redefine it.
