Katarina Prochazkova
Assistant Professor
Katarína Procházková works at the University of Economics in Bratislava – Department of Management. She currently teaches international business and management, as well as courses focused on leadership and developing personal and interpersonal skills. She received PhD. degree in 2009 and since then she has been actively engaged in teaching, research and publishing activities. In 2017-2018, she participated in the case of the new subject Leadership, which was successfully included in the offer for students.
She is the author and co-author of several student’s handbooks and textbooks focusing on international business, management and leadership. She actively publishes research papers within the research tasks in which she is currently participating. In the course of her career, she was the supervisor of several dozen bachelor and diploma theses in Slovak and English. She loves to travel, as part of her work duties she visited universities in Croatia, Portugal and the Czech Republic, where she actively lectured.
Since 2017 she has been active member of the international cooperation project International Business Consulting Program, which is implemented in partnership with La Crosse University Wisconsin. In 2023, she is going be to spend six months at this partnership university as Fulbright scholar.
As a lecturer, she supports open and fair communication with students, constructive feedback and interactive education. In teaching, she favors learning based on examples, current case studies and teamwork, which creates space for creativity, design and critical thinking and develops communication and presentation skills. Her key goals in education are to expand knowledge, inspire action and help develop skills important for work practice and personal life.
