Francis Asong
Executive Director, Voice Ghana
Francis Asong has been involved in a range of management tasks since 2002, and had a long-standing interest in social inclusion agenda, particularly for persons with disabilities.
Francis is also involved in several grassroots social actions such as a Steering Committee Member of the Local Governance Network (LOGNet), a Zonal Activism Coordinator for the Amnesty International - Ghana Section, and a member of STAR-Ghana Steering Committee. STAR-Ghana is a civil society programme, jointly funded by DFID (the lead development partner), the European Union and DANIDA.
He holds MBA in Governance and Leadership from the Australian Institute of Business and Chartered Business Administrator (ChBA) Certification from the Chartered Association of Business Administrators, Canada. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, UK (FCMI); a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, UK (FInstLM), a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership, USA (MCIML) and a PhD in Management Student with the LIGS University, USA.
He was the 2015 Continental Award Winner of the CEO Global Titans - Nations Building Awards in recognition of his contribution to the Welfare and Civil Society Sector in Africa. Francis also received the 2018 National Philanthropy Award in the NGO Sector from the National Philanthropy Forum, Accra, Ghana in recognition of his charity work.
