Andrew Sadlik, Ph.D. and DBA student at LIGS University

Interview with our Ph.D. and DBA student Andrew Sadlik, CEO of AndCorp2003 from the Czech Republic.

Andrew has joined LIGS University with the vision of completing the Ph.D. and DBA programs. He has undertaken the challenge of studying both programs at the same time – no easy feat, but he has proven himself capable and highly motivated. He also participated in the international doctoral conference organized by LIGS University, in which he presented a proposal on the topic, “Critical analysis of target marketing methods”. We wish him continued success and happiness!

Aloha, could you please introduce yourself to our readers? Your area of expertise, background, experience, hobby, etc.?

Hi, I come from Prague, but I gained my top end education in North Carolina, USA, at North Carolina State University (NCSU), where I earned the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). Then at UNYP, I earned my Master of Business Administration (MBA), and later a Master of Laws (LL.M.).  As of now, I pursue a dual degree – Ph.D. and DBA at LIGS University. I have also attended numerous universities as part of my curriculum, including University of North Carolina (UNC), Harvard University (Massachusetts), Oxford University (England), and Zhejiang University (China).

I specialize in practical and theoretical marketing and economy. My hobbies are anything that has to do with adrenaline. This includes motorbikes, cars, snowboard, downhill bikes, jet ski, and more.

Where did you hear about LIGS University and what inspired you to join LIGS University?

I have heard of LIGS University from a friend of mine, who said he heard that the university has good standards. After checking the website and connecting to a representative, I was quickly convinced that this may be the best choice. After logging in to the student system, I found out that it is, in fact, very well organized. I am always able to communicate with my tutors and staff in case I need advice.

What do you think are the benefits of an online/executive form of education?

Definitely the time flexibility. Then, since its online, the price plays a big role as well. Additionally, personalized approach from the tutors and staff is highly appreciated.

Can you share the value of studying at LIGS University to you?

I value a highly sophisticated, yet modest citizen. Education is the key and LIGS University can provide it flexibly, having expert tutors, and reasonable cost.

What do education and personal development mean to you?

It means everything to me. After 15 years of university studies, I am convinced that lifelong personal development is a necessity. The pursuit of a doctoral degree is just an exciting milestone.

In your opinion, what trends in education do you see in the next 5-10 years from now and why?

I am predicting more of an online approach since the modern day is taking a huge leap towards turning everything online. It is a direct answer to effectiveness – it eradicates long commutes and time wasting. Lastly, one can go as fast and cautious as he desires.

Based on your experience with LIGS, would you recommend cooperation with LIGS as a student and why?

As far as my experience goes, I have been very happy with the functionality of LIGS, therefore, I would recommend anyone to cooperate with the university.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement/s in your career and life?

Academic progression. I do not believe that monetary achievements have a fundamental value in life.

Do you have any experience with failure/s and how did you learn from it?

Yes, with people. Thus I recommend to anyone to further his or her academic foundation. Most people, who will make you fail, are people with low moral and academic standards.

What are your life and work goal/s?

To be a good person with the highest level of education possible, and to be a good citizen among other good citizens. The same goes for work goals – to be successful at anything that comes around – using the knowledge I have gained over the years researching and educating myself.

What is your motto?

If you do something, do it as if you were doing it for yourself, i.e. behave to other people as you would want them to behave to you.

Thank you very much for the interview
