Eva Ariño Mateo
Associate Professor
Eva Ariño Mateo is a professor of Human Resources for the MBA, DBA and Ph.D. programs. She specializes in the modules of HR Management and HR Planning, along with Development, Recruitment and Selection. She is also a professor and researcher at the Universidad de Concepción, Chile.
Previously, she worked in international human resource companies such as Aviva and Adecco. In 2013 she and a German colleague created their own Human Resources company, Pasocebra (http://www.pasocebra.eu/en/) taking advantage of the needs of German companies who needed qualified personnel by tapping into the excess of Spanish personnel without work due to an economic crisis. In 2016, she began working at Amazon https://www.amazon.com/ in the field of Organizational and Work Psychology as a specialist in Human Resources for the United Kingdom, with European headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic.
She holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management (2006-2007) and a Master in Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology (2008-2010) at the University of Valencia. In 2011, she began her Doctoral Studies in the Department of Social, Cognitive and Organizational Psychology at the University of La Laguna, for which she received funding from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness from the Government of Spain as a part of her position as a member of the Teaching Staff and an Investigator. She received her Doctorate in 2016, obtaining a qualification of Outstanding and the International Mention, thanks to having spent research stays abroad (University of Padua, Italy, 2012, University of Bielefeld, Germany, 2013) and having passed a double evaluating commission, which was integrated by international evaluators.
As a lecturer, she prefers students with the capacity to work autonomously and who can bring forward innovative ideas in the field of Human Resources.
Her aim is to develop the critical and reflective thinking of her students and help them achieve their professional goals.
