Jon Holmes

Jon is a qualified management accountant (CIMA) by profession, a certified Management Development trainer (Assoc CIPD) and a certified English language teacher (RSA certificate).
Jon Holmes has worked as a university lecturer for the 12 years. He is teaching various accounting, finance and business related topics. Jon has won awards at each of the universities he has taught for the quality of his teaching.
Jon has had two careers. After graduating from university in 1985, he qualified as an accountant and worked in finance in the City of London for Philips & Drew (stockbrokers) and JP Morgan (investment bank). Jon then moved into education in 1993. Having taught English in Japan for two years, he worked both as a management development trainer and a corporate training manager for Andersen and PWC. Jon became a university lecturer in 2002 although he continues to provide management development training when required.
Jon gained his undergraduate degree in History from Sheffield University in 1985.
He also has an MA in International Relations from Sheffield University in 1996 and was awarded a Pass with Merit for the Diploma in Professional Management by the Open University in December 2006.
He is currently studying archaeology on a flexible learning programme at the University of Aberdeen.
