Roberto Alejandro Llauro

Associate Professor

Dr. Roberto Alejandro Llauró is the Senior Partner and Senior Consultant in Llauro.net Consultoría Empresaria® a business, accounting and tax consultant Company. He is also working as part-time Project Consultant in Exportar a USA.

He currently works as a Professor / Lecturer on Analysis of the Business Environment in Universidad de la Empresa (UDE, Montevideo, Uruguay) and on Strategic Administration (e-learning,  Doctorate) in Universidad del Istmo (UdelIstmo, Panama, Panama).

Until 2010 he acted as Founder and Director of Argentina Kenshu Center. AOTS Argentina (training). Until 1998 he acted as Manager of the training area of ALICO / AIG (life insurance). Until 1994 he acted as Director of Tensioactivos del Litoral S.A. (chemicals).

Since 1979 till 1994 he worked on various positions in Alejandro Llauró e Hijos S.A.I.C. (family owned soap and cleaning products company) reaching the top level position as Member of the Executive Committee (CEO) and as Financial and Foreign Trade Officer (CFO+CFTO) where he took an active part in the handling of the financial aspects during the acquisition process of the company by Procter and Gamble (USA).

Until 1981 he worked in Hosimport S.A. being it´s Founder & Director. Until 1979 he worked in Pistrelli Diaz / Arthur Andersen & Co. as Trainee in the SME Business Area. From 1970 to 1979 he worked as Insurance Bróker in La Rosario-Leng Roberts Seguros (insurance, Argentina).

Dr. Llauró served as Professor at CAECE University - Business School (1999-2018), at Universidad del Museo Social Argentino (2011-2018) and at Universidad Católica de Pelotas (RGS-Brazil) (MBA) (1995-1996). He also served as Adjunct Professor at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (from 2006 to 2018) in courses taught in Spanish and English.

He served as Lecturer at Universidad de Buenos Aires - Facultad de Ciencias Económicas (2008-2015), at Universidad Católica Argentina (from 2005 to 2009), at Universidad de la Empresa (UDE- Uruguay) and IDE-CESEM Business School (Spain) in 2014, at Universidad de Palermo (from 2003 to 2004), at Universidad del Salvador (from 2002 to 2003) and at  Universidad de Belgrano (from 1982 to 1990).

He developed and served as Co-Director, Member of the Academic Committee, Academic and Teaching Coordinator, Academic Coordinator and Associate Professor in the Master in Consulting and Management of Organizations at Universidad del Museo Social Argentino, from 2013 to 2019.

As a part-time lecturer in these institutions, he lectured graduate and undergraduate students in Business in topics like Management, Administration, Business Organization, Strategic Planning, Competitive Strategy, International Business Strategy. International Marketing. Global Marketing, Business Development / Business Projects / Business Plan, Analysis of the Business Environment, Foreign Trade, Finance, Marketing. Cost Analysis and Pricing Strategy. Internet Business and Marketing.  E-Commerce. E-Business. Information Technology, Cybersecurity. Business and Competitive Strategy. Human Resources.  Analysis and Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Senior Management.

He participated in numerous double-blind evaluation processes for the approval of papers and research works for their publication.

Dr. Llauró obtained Doctor of Management Sciences in 2010 from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (Argentina). Before that he received Postgraduate Diplomas in Business Organization and Management and in Rationality in Business Organization from the Universidad de Buenos Aires - Faculty of Engineering - Graduate School of Business (Argentina) , in 2003 and 2004 respectively. He received from Universidad del Museo Social Argentino (Argentina) his Degree Studies Diploma in Business Administration, in 1979.

He obtained professional certificates from The Association For Overseas Technical Scholarship (Japan) in Argentine Export Marketing and The Program on Quality Management, in 1991and 2005 respectively, from the  Escuela de Defensa Nacional (Argentina),  in the XXIV Intensive Course of National Defense Studies. (Diploma of honor), in 1989, from Infosec Future Pvt Ltd. (Lucknou, UP, India) in Cyber Secutiry Internship (virtual) in 2018, and from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in Teaching in English for UADE teachers (level 1 and 2) in 2008 and 2010 respectively.

Dr Llauró is Member of the honorary Advisory Committee of the Doctorate in Business Administration, Director and evaluator of Master and Doctor Thesis at Universidad de la Empresa (Uruguay). He is Member of the Number on the Academia Argentina de Artes y Ciencias de la Comunicación (AAAyCC) since 2017, Member of Asociación Argentina de Lucha Contra el Cibercrimen (AALCC) since 2019. He is also Former Member of Asociación Metropolitana de Licenciados en Administración (AMLA) from 1984 to1986, of Instituto Argentino de Racionalización de Materiales (IRAM), of the Instituto Argentino de Ejecutivos de Finanzas (IAEF) and the Cámara Argentina de Comercio Electrónico (CACE).

He was awarded a PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP, in 1991 and in 2005 by The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) - Japan. For Postgraduate Studies on International Marketing and Quality. He also win a PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP in 2001 by Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), for the Doctor in Management Sciences studies. He also won the MANUEL BELGRANO AWARD from the Consejo Profesional de Ciencias Económicas de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (CPCECABA) in 1998 and 1985, and the UNIVERSIDAD ARGENTINA DE LA EMPRESA (UADE) & BANCO SANTANDER – RÍO CONTEST - TEACHING RESOURCES BASED ON TECHNOLOGY AWARD, in 2007 and 2008.

During his career, he provided lectures on the several aspects of business and management in more than 50 Congresses and Professional Conferences (national and international). He attended to more than 100 training and courses on issues of his profession (local and foreign).

He published various research papers and presentations at professional congresses and conferences in Argentina and abroad, as well as in peer-reviewed journals printed and on-line.

As a lecturer, he prefers email communication from students. He appreciates maximum interactivity from the students, active and personal commitment to the study and demonstration of a hard compromise and strong intention to develop new knowledge. He always tries to engage students by delivering feedback and useful examples that will improve their understanding of issues that needs extra clarification in order to provide them practical, fast and effective solutions.
