Cybersecurity: The Challenges of the Future | Recap of LIGS University's 5th Online Conference

We are excited to share with you a recap of LIGS University's 5th online conference, which focused on Cybersecurity: The Challenges of the Future. The conference was a two-day event held on the 5th and 6th of April 2023 and brought together experts from around the world to discuss the latest cybersecurity challenges and solutions.

Our lineup of speakers included cybersecurity professionals from Germany, the Czech Republic, the USA, and Ghana. Each speaker brought a unique perspective to the conversation, and we were thrilled to have them as part of the event. The conference also had 30 attendees from all over the world, making it a truly global event.

We must say that we were thoroughly impressed with the conference, as were the attendees and presenters. Michael Renzi, a Ph.D. student at LIGS University, stated, "Congratulations on the well-done conference. The conference covered a range of important topics, including the increasing prevalence of cybersecurity threats, the importance of proactive measures to protect against them, and the role of education in addressing cybersecurity challenges. We were particularly interested in the emphasis on the human factor in cybersecurity. While technology plays a crucial role, the conference highlighted the importance of training and awareness for non-technical staff to prevent them from becoming a weak point in an organization's cybersecurity defenses.

The speakers shared their experiences and provided valuable insights into the cybersecurity challenges faced by their organizations and industries. The discussions were engaging, informative, and often eye-opening. The conference was a great success, and we learned a lot from the experts who presented.
